Block rates are only available for users on instruments for which they kept their independent operational proficiency current, as determined by MIC staff. The instrument time paid for under the block rate system has to be used within 1 year from a starting date that suits individual needs and does not roll over. Please discuss your requirements with MIC Administration (845-1129).
Film used for the SEM can be purchased in the MIC office. SEM film is sold in packages of 25 or 100. The MIC staff can also provide alternative sources of SEM film.
Film used for the TEM is billed from the instrument log sheets. It will require the user to log the beginning and ending film counts in the columns provided.
Contact prints can be provided. Inquire for current rates. Tech time will be charged at the current rate. Use of the Ilford processor is free.
Darkroom use is provided to those individuals utilizing the Center instrumentation at no additional cost.
Other supplies are carried for purchase by users. Check with the MIC office staff as to availability and cost (sources may be available for items not available at the Center).
