Analog & Digital Image Analysis
Apart from the capabilities that are part of the specific microscopes, the Center offers dedicated image analysis software packages like MacTempas image simulation software for calculation of high resolution TEM images, diffraction patterns, and phase contrast transfer functions. Another program Cerius2 with such capabilities is available through the Laboratory for Molecular Simulation (http://www.chem.tamu.edu/LMS/). Other TEM image analysis/processing software suites include EMAN, IMAGIC, CCP4, CRISP and MRC. We are also equipped with two laser-powered optical benches for image analysis and reconstruction, and two Leafscan and Epson scanners.
