Shape memory polymer foam-coated coils were used to occlude rabbit aneurysms. The larger golden shapes are shape memory polymer foam. Immunofluorescent staining shows cell nuclei (blue), macrophages (green), pro-inflammatory macrophages (cyan), and anti-inflammatory macrophages (red) present 30 days after device implantation.
