These are scanning electron micrographs of various sections (increasing magnification from left to right) of the Vein-on-a-Chip after deep vein thrombosis formation. The thrombus is rich in fibrin and red blood cells, devoid of platelets and contain leukocytes (marked). Scale bars from left to right, 100 µm, 50 µm, 10 µm and 5 µm.
